The world is covered by a sole Trude which does not begin and does not end. Only the name of the airport changes.
Note
Landing at Trude, had he not read the city’s name written in big letters, Marco would have thought he had arrived at the airport he had left from: the same suburbs, the same houses, the same streets. He can leave whenever he likes, they tell him, but he will arrive at another Trude, identical point by point.
In the scene a single tile of city, with its runway and its tower, repeats to the horizon. Each tower wears a small coloured plate: the name of the airport, the only thing that changes. From time to time a light takes off from one runway and lands on another, the same.
Touch another Trude to fly there: the world slides until that one lies where yours was. Once arrived, everything is exactly as before, except the colour of the plate.
